The question I asked in regard to this piece was, "What does the word "home" mean to you?" When our professor gives us a new prompt for a project, he always says to go and chew on the idea, think about it, sketch. He always warns, "Now, don't go in there and run to the computer - it's going to ruin you." So, when he gave us this project, I literally thought about it for like a week. It started out real simple - I got the old saying, "home is where the heart is" stuck in my head. From that saying, a question came to me - "If home is where the heart is, then where does your heart lie?" If you find out where you heart is, then there you will find home. Right? They coincide, or at least in my little mind they do. That question just led to more thought on the subject.

In the end, my thoughts kind of look like this -

The word "home" has the potential to contain a lot of meaning. It could be my house where I grew up. It could be my family, friends, hometown, townhouse, or church. It could be the feeling of being inside my comfort zone, of being around what I know. It could be, a lot of different things.
In the big picture, everything that one could physically call home, is a fleeting glance. But, if I answer the question that came to me - "Where does your heart lie?" Then the answer is this - my heart lies with the Lord. If you know where your heart lies, then there you can find home. My heart lies with the Lord. I am at home in Him and He in me. Forever. Where does your heart lie? There you will find home.

John 14: 23
Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him."
